Vintage Wedding Photography {Vikki & Brian}

“Marriage is not a noun; it’s a verb. It isn’t something you get. It’s something you do.”

~Barbara De Angelis, American researcher on relationships and personal growth~

Introducing … drum roll please … Vikki and Brian Marsee! Hands down, these two are the nicest couple you are ever going to meet. They exude warmth, gratitude, and overall joy. It’s tactile. You simply want to be a better couple, a better other half, when you’re around them … Happier, more patient, snugglier {if that’s not a word, it is now}. Or maybe it’s not even that. Maybe you just honest-to-goodness want to BE them.

I don’t know what I fell more smitten with. Vikki’s sensational “Getting Ready” robes, which deemed her the world’s best looking Geisha Bridal Goddess {I’m stealing that fantastic description from one of her gorgeous women of honor, how could I not?}. Or Brian’s beer holsters for the groomsmen {Ladies, they were both functional and aesthetically AMAZING so let your men have them}. Throw in a garden ceremony with romantic sun flare, followed by a relentlessly entertaining photo booth, and you have one unforgettable night. I guess that’s what you’d expect from Wedding Coordinator Vikki and partner Shannon of All You Need is Love Event Planning. Sweet perfection.

I haven’t yet seen the undoubtedly beautiful shots captured by their hired True Photography team {I was really only snapping a few guest shots, here and there}, but I can’t wait! In the mean time, stroll through this quick taste of the day and see if you don’t swoon over All You Need is Love’s prettiest bride and most handsome groom.

I saw this on Twitter. Love it! The locket on the bouquet is really something.

Such a fun day!! As a bridesmaid you really just don’t have time to take pictures, so it’s so nice to have someone as professional and sweet as Karen to capture the moments we all wanted to remember! She was there photographing while we all got ready and even participated with the bridal party, bride and mother of the bride in an energy circle before the ceremony where we all set our intentions for the wedding. It was a really beautiful day! :)

It was an amazing day Erin and I want to do it all over again (so maybe I can actually do the photobooth, and not be in fear that I “danced” just a little TOO much!). Thanks to all of you for being such amazing friends over the years, and may that continue for the rest of your lives, as I’m sure it will. Love and hugs to Karen for capturing so beautifully those very special personal moments – and managing to keep them intimate and meaningful.

Karen – it’s without saying that your work is beautiful. You captured sacred moments of the day without being intrusive and I cherish these photos as a memory of those very special and private moments. Thank you for sharing your work, your passion, and your heart with the world through your photos. I can’t wait to continue to work with you!!

Hi Friends! Thanks for all the blog love.

Ashley, nice to meet you and thanks for stopping by!

Erin, I’m so glad you took my nudge and shared that beautiful energy circle memory. That was, truly, one of the loveliest moments I can EVER recall at a wedding and definitely something I’ll want for my own special day. It’s so easy to get lost in all the hair & makeup, the design details, the event timeline, even keeping your guests happy. What a gift to simply take a moment and focus on the real intentions for the first day of the rest of a bride’s shared life. Just magical and you were the perfect energy to lead the energy circle! BRIDES-TO-BE, make sure you take this cue from Erin and create an energy circle with your bridesmaids before walking down the aisle!

Valerie, your heart and love for Vikki was splashed all over that event. Really, your signature care for detail and your daughter’s joy was just spectacular!

AHHHHH, Vikki!!!! You have me all teary with that comment. Seriously, I’m a total chick right now. Crying!?!?!? Without question it’s YOUR opinion that matters most and YOUR positive sense of the shooting experience that I’m most honored by. Here’s to you and Brian and the beautiful life you two lead. So happy to be a part of it ; )

Tell Mike and Jodi I can’t WAIT for their Cabo Wedding NEXT!!! xoxo

Can I ask who does the makeup and the hair, as I already figured out most of the rest. :) )
